25 After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.
26 For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord’s death till he come.
Remember the sentence: “This do ye, As oft as ye drink, in remembrance of me” …

But Today, I’m REFUTING the ROMAN CATHOLIC & EASTERN ORTHODOX false teaching …
… of TRANSUBSTANTIATION.
TRANSUBSTANTIATION is the belief that the BREAD & the WINE used in the LORD’S SUPPER …
… literally turns into the actual BODY & BLOOD of CHRIST …
… & that JESUS CHRIST Himself in HIS DIVINE BEING is ACTUALLY & SUBSTANTIALLY present in the COMMUNION.
The catechism of the ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH states:
“By the consecration of the bread and wine there takes place a change of the whole substance of the bread into the substance of the body of Christ our Lord and of the whole substance of the wine into the substance of his blood. This change the holy Catholic Church has fittingly and properly called transubstantiation”
This was written at the Council of Trent in the mid-1500s …
The catechism continues:
Under the consecrated species of bread and wine Christ himself, living and glorious, is present in a true, real, and substantial manner: his Body and his Blood, with his soul and his divinity.
So not only do ROMAN CATHOLICS teach that the little COMMUNION WAFER that they serve …
… & the WINE they drink turns into the LITERAL BODY & BLOOD of CHRIST …
… they also teach that CHRIST Himself is LITERALLY & SUBSTANTIALLY (as in HIS SUBSTANCE) …
… is ACTUALLY PRESENT & that the SYMBOLS of COMMUNION have been TRANSFORMED or TRANSUBSTANTIATED …
(that their SUBSTANCE has change) — which is why it’s called TRANSUBSTANTIATION.
& So it goes to follow that they teach that you must WORSHIP the BREAD & WINE as JESUS HIMSELF in the flesh.
The ROMAN CATHOLIC CATECHISM therefore also says:
In the liturgy of the Mass we express our faith in the real presence of Christ under the species of bread and wine by, among other ways, genuflecting or bowing deeply as a sign of adoration of the Lord … reserving the consecrated hosts with the utmost care, exposing them to the solemn veneration of the faithful, and carrying them in procession … It is therefore indubitable that all true Christians, according to the practice of the Catholic Church, are bound to venerate this most holy Sacrament, and to render to it worship … which is due to the true God.
& Out of this BELIEF in the REAL EMBODIMENT of CHRIST in the COMMUNION …
… the ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH has also said in its CANON:
If anyone shall deny that in the Sacrament of the most holy Eucharist there are contained truly, really, and substantially the body and blood, together with the soul and divinity of our Lord Jesus Christ, and therefore the whole Christ, and shall say that He is in it only by sign, or figure, or influence, let him be Accursed.
In other words, CATHOLICS historically have taught that SALVATION can only be possible …
… within the confines of the ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH …
… since they believe they are the only ones able to administer …
… the TRUE COMMUNION of the LORD’S BODY & BLOOD …
& the reason I say “HISTORICALLY TAUGHT” …
… is that this was ROMAN CATHOLIC TEACHING of the 1500s …
… as a POST-REFORMATION MEASURE …
… & It was accepted as CHURCH DOGMA even up until recent MODERN TIMES …
… but the ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH of today …
… under the UNSAVED, CARNAL leadership of POPE FRANCIS …
… has been pushing towards a united, ECUMENICAL 1-WORLD RELIGION …
There are even REPORTS TODAY …
… that POPE FRANCIS doesn’t even believe in the LITERAL, ETERNAL TORMENT of the UNBELIEVER …

… but in actuality, while claiming that those weren’t his “exact” words …

All the POPE has to do is come out w/ a CLEAR STATEMENT affirming in belief in the BIBLICAL DOCTRINE …

So the POPE needs to first go & get saved & be BORN AGAIN …

He said: “you can imagine how significant it is to partake of GRACES when you recognize the reality of Christ’s body and blood dispensed through the church …”
DISPENSED through the CHURCH?
No, the BODY & BLOOD of CHRIST was DISPENSED @ THE CROSS!
“Now we see that it is in the CHURCH that we are given the GRACES by which we can live by an energy beyond our own energy. So if we don’t partake of those GRACES it is very very easy to imagine that we will fall away.”
Who liked HIS ANSWER in 2015 vs. his answer in 2017?
& basically he claims that he hasn’t changed his views since 1989 when he started ….
& that all his beliefs have been codified in his many books …

54 Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.
55 For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed.
56 He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him.
57 As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me.
58 This is that bread which came down from heaven: not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead: he that eateth of this bread shall live for ever.
& they obviously OVER-LITERALIZE this passage.
Now, I’m all for a LITERAL UNDERSTANDING of the BIBLE.
EVERY WORD is PURE, EVERY WORD is TRUE.
But the Bible & Jesus especially often employs FIGURATIVE LANGUAGE …
… to illustrate LITERAL, SPIRITUAL TRUTHS.
Now, how can you tell the DIFFERENCE?
Well, just a little common sense & a little bit of study.
When JESUS calls Himself a LAMB …
… is He saying He is a PHYSICAL LAMB with HOOVES & WOOL & BIG EARS?
Or when He calls Himself “THE DOOR” elsewhere in the Gospel of John …
… is He saying that He has the physical properties of a LITERAL DOOR?
Or He is saying that He is the ONLY WAY to HEAVEN?
We can easily discern what is FIGURATIVE & what is LITERAL LANGUAGE in the BIBLE …
… unless you have an AGENDA & want to CHANGE BIBLE DOCTRINE.
IN JOHN 6, Jesus had just performed the miracle of FEEDING a great MULTITUDE w/ 5 LOAVES & 2 FISH …
& the following day, on the other side of the sea …
… people began to question Jesus about His teachings.
& Jesus answered them in John 6:26:
26 … Verily, verily, I say unto you, Ye seek me, not because ye saw the miracles, but because ye did eat of the loaves, and were filled.
27 Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him hath God the Father sealed.
JESUS switches from talking about PHYSICAL BREAD in v. 26 to SPIRITUAL MEAT in v. 27.
First, He’s talking about something PHYSICAL, then something SPIRITUAL …
… using the physical ELEMENTS of BREAD & MEAT (the LOAVES & the FISH) …
JESUS always used VERBAL PROPS & SYMBOLS of His DAY …
… to teach GREATER TRUTHS.
… he would talk about SOWING SEED … & reaping a harvest …
… He would talk about BELIEVERS being WHEAT & UNBELIEVERS being TARES …
… (which are weeds that look like wheat when they’re young) …
He calls Himself the VINE, …
… He says WIDE is the GATE that LEADS to destruction …
So Jesus often used the common objects & symbols of His time …
… to illustrate literal spiritual truths from the Father.
& So in this passage, Jesus is switching back & forth in his speech …
… between LITERAL, PHYSICAL FOOD & SYMBOLIC, SPIRITUAL MEAT here in John 6.
& that CONFUSES the CARNAL, UNSAVED MIND of the ROMAN CATHOLICS …
… who believe in TRANSUBSTANTIATION.
He says, PHYSICAL FOOD – will satisfy you TEMPORALLY …
… it’ll be TEMPORARY SUSTENANCE to your PHYSICAL BEING …
… but that ONLY SPIRITUAL FOOD will lead to ETERNAL LIFE …
… where there will be no more DEATH, HUNGER, or DISEASE.
HE IS the BREAD OF LIFE which sustains a MAN SPIRITUALLY & ETERNALLY.
JOHN 6:28:
28 Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God?
29 Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.
You just have to be BELIEVE …
… you don’t have to have TRANSUBSTANTIATION administered by an unsaved ROMAN CATHOLIC PRIEST …
… in order to be saved!
JESUS doesn’t points to WORKS …
… not to BREAD & WINE— but to FAITH in Himself …

VERSE 30:
30 They said therefore unto him, What sign shewest thou then, that we may see, and believe thee? what dost thou work?
31 Our fathers did eat manna in the desert; as it is written, He gave them bread from heaven to eat.
32 Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Moses gave you not that bread from heaven; but my Father giveth you the true bread from heaven.
33 For the bread of God is he which cometh down from heaven, and giveth life unto the world.
So He says, that MANNA, though physical bread, was a REPRESENTATION of ME.
Your forefathers ATE the MANNA but they were STILL HUNGRY …
… Even though the MANNA was PROVIDENTIALLY PROVIDED …
… it was still only PHYSICAL BREAD for the purpose of NOURISHING the BODY.
But spiritually, it represented & looked forward in anticipation to CHRIST HIMSELF …
… the BREAD OF LIFE who would SATISFY their SPIRITUAL HUNGER …
…. & give them never-ending LIFE!
(unlike that MANNA in the WILDERNESS).
34 Then said they unto him, Lord, evermore give us this bread.
35 And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.
& When JESUS picked up a GLASS OF WINE & said, “THIS IS MY BLOOD” …
… He was obviously speaking ALLEGORICALLY about HIS own REAL BLOOD …
… which He was about to SHED on the CROSS.
He giving the DISCIPLES SYMBOLS to help them understand what He was about TO DO!
In fact, when JESUS said that for the 1ST TIME @ the LAST SUPPER …
… His BLOOD had not yet been SHED …
… HIS BLOOD was still continued IN HIS BODY …
… so how could the CUP of the COMMUNION WINE which He shared w/ His disciples …
… be anything but ALLEGORICAL?
JESUS was obviously USING THESE SYMBOLS to ILLUSTRATE the GREATER TRUTH of HIS DEATH, BURIAL, & RESURRECTION …
… & the ATONEMENT we receive when we TRUST in His FINISHED WORK on the CROSS!
John 6:47 says:
47 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.
48 I am that bread of life.
49 Your fathers did eat manna in the wilderness, and are dead.
50 This is the bread which cometh down from heaven, that a man may eat thereof, and not die.
51 I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever [what bread is that? It’s the SPIRITUAL BREAD of HIS BODY which we receive by faith]: and the bread that I will give [HE SAYS IT RIGHT THERE] is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world. [He tells us PLAINLY that He’s speaking FIGURATIVELY & PARABOLICALLY].
Just like all His other PARABLES, JESUS 1st explained a hidden MYSTERY …
… hidden to those who do not SEEK the TRUTH …
… & then explains it plainly to His disciples who are eager to learn more of Him.

In VERSE 52:

1 Corinthians 2:14 says: “But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.”
They couldn’t GRASP that JESUS wasn’t talking about PHYSICAL BREAD …
… but about His LITERAL BODY!
VERSE 53:
53 Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you.
54 Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.

[He’s saying this is the REAL MEAT, this is the REAL DRINK.
The PHYSICAL FOOD which sustains our bodies & gives us life …
… is only a PICTURE of ETERNAL LIFE / of LIFE EVERLASTING …
… of SPIRITUAL FOOD — of CHRIST HIMSELF …
56 He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him.
We become PARTAKERS with CHRIST in HIS KINGDOM when we RECEIVE the ATONEMENT of HIS BODY & BLOOD …
… we become HIS.
57 As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me. [We become spiritually ALIVE through CHRIST].
58 This is that bread which came down from heaven: not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead: he that eateth of this bread shall live for ever.

& then He says it directly here in VERSE 63 …
… that’s He’s speaking SPIRITUALLY … in case we didn’t get it before …
He says:
63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.
64 But there are some of you that believe not.
Jesus says directly that His Words are SPIRITUAL.
& then when you BELIEVE in HIS WORDS & integrate them into your BELIEF SYSTEM …
… & receive HIS WORDS w/ your WHOLE HEART, MIND, & SOUL …
… that you become ONE OF HIS.
& He says but there are some that BELIEVE NOT.
So it’s about BELEIF …
… BELIEF in HIS WORDS, belief in HIS WORK …
& BELIEF in THE ATONEMENT.
JESUS also SAID in Matthew 4:4: “… It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.”
Does that CATHOLIC CHURCH take that LITERALLY also?
Do they somehow try to EAT HIS WORDS like actual BREAD?
& start chomping down on their BIBLES?
When Jesus says MAN SHALL NOT LIVE by BREAD ALONE …
… that BREAD ALONE refers to PHYSICAL, ACTUAL BREAD.
He’s saying it’s not ENOUGH to only feed yourself PHYSICALLY.
But when He says that MAN must live …
… BY EVERY WORD THAT PROCEEDETH out of the MOUTH OF GOD …
… He’s speaking about READING & MEDITATING ON, & STUDYING & DIGESTING GOD’S WRITTEN WORD …
… for spiritual sustenance.
& this actually TIES in to HIS ATONEMENT.
Because Jesus is saying that you have to EAT THE WORD OF GOD …
… & JESUS is the WORD OF GOD!
& then He says that if you want to have ETERNAL LIFE, you have to EAT HIS BODY & DRINK HIS BLOOD.
WE LIVE by the WORD OF GOD.
It’s HIS WORD that SAVES US & GIVES US ETERNAL LIFE …
& JESUS IS the WORD …
… so we EAT the BODY & BLOOD of CHRIST, the WORD …
… by FAITH!
JESUS is that you have to SPIRITUALLY INGEST…
the DEATH, BURIAL, & RESURRECTION of CHRIST …
… that you have to INTERNALIZE the ATONEMENT & the SUBSTITUTION & BELIEVE IT to be saved.
THE IDEA of PHYSICALLY EATING the BODY & BLOOD of CHRIST …
… is CANNIBALISTIC in nature & has its ROOT in PAGANISM!
That’s what the FALSE, PAGAN MYSTERY BABYLON RELIGION was about …
They would SACRIFICE HUMAN BEINGS & literally eat them.
& that’s what the ROMAN CATHOLIC teaching of TRANSUBSTANTIATION ultimately is!
It goes back to that MYSTERY BABYLON FALSE ANTI-CHRIST RELIGION.
Instead of WORSHIPING CHRIST, they want you to WORSHIP the PHYSICAL BREAD …
… & to put in your mind the IDEA of LITERALLY EATING the FLESH & BLOOD of a MAN!
Because realize, CHRIST was FULLY GOD & FULLY MAN …
… His flesh was begotten of MARY …
… But He Himself, as the WORD made flesh, was begotten of GOD …
In fact, there’s a PROHIBITION against EATING BLOOD in the Bible.
Deuteronomy 12:23 says: “Only be sure that thou eat not the blood: for the blood is the life; and thou mayest not eat the life with the flesh.”
& When a GROUP of JUDAIZERS infiltrated the EARLY CHURCH …
… they were demanding GENTILE CHRISTIANS to observe the LAW of MOSES …
But the only 4 prohibitions that the APOSTLES gave GENTILE BELIEVERS …
… was to ABSTAIN from FORNICATION …
… to abstain from CONSUMING BLOOD …
… to abstain from MEATS offered to IDOLS …
… & to abstain from MEATS that were STRANGLED …
… & this last 1 was because if the BLOOD was not poured out …
… it would be the same as consuming blood.
So there’s a PROHIBITION against what TRANSUBSTANTIATION actually teaches!
Acts 15:29 says: “That ye abstain from meats offered to idols, and from blood, and from things strangled, and from fornication: from which if ye keep yourselves, ye shall do well. Fare ye well.”
Such passages make TRANSUBSTANTIATION contradictory.
I asked a ROMAN CATHOLIC once WHY the WAFER doesn’t TASTE, SMELL, FEEL, or LOOK like FLESH?
& why the WINE doesn’t TASTE & SMELL like BLOOD?
In other words, we have to FORGO our SENSES in order to believe in TRANSUBSTANTIATION.
Now I understand that: “faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”
But the Bible isn’t talking about BLIND FAITH.
Our FAITH is also ROOTED in REASON & COMMON SENSE & REASON.
We don’t BLINDLY believe that God exists — the CREATION itself declares His glory.
We don’t BLINDLY believe that Jesus is the Son of God —
We have been FULLY PERSUADED by the WORD & the HOLY SPIRIT …
… & have personally come to the conclusion that no other OPTION makes sense!
1 John 5:19-20 says:
19 And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness.
20 And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.
We don’t have BLIND FAITH in our SAVIOR.
We have a FAITH rooted in REASONABLE BELIEF.
But the ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH wants you to believe that a PIECE OF BREAD …
… which still LOOKS LIKE, TASTES LIKE, SMELLS LIKE, & FEELS LIKE BREAD …
… is the LITERAL FLESH of the Lord!
& so the CATHOLIC CHURCH in response …
… came up w/ an overly elaborate theory to explain this …
& they call this the “ACCIDENTS”.
Their claim is that MATERIAL THINGS have both SUBSTANCE & ESSENCE …
… like all PHYSICAL, CREATED MATTER …
… ATOMS, MOLECULES, PROTONS, NEUTRONS …
… & hence BREAD & WINE.
But they teach that the “ACCIDENTS” or the IMMATERIAL PORTION of Creation …
… is the real ESSENCE of a thing.
This actually is mysticism & gnosticism or just weird philosophy more than anything else …
But quoting from a CATHOLIC WEBSITE, they teach that:
Accidents and substance are not two separate things, but rather a way of dividing a thing into non-essentials and essentials, into the qualities of a thing and the thing itself. The accidents are any qualities of a thing that, if changed, do not cause the thing itself to become something else; they are non-essential. The substance is not a quality of the thing, but rather whatever is essential to the nature of the thing; it is the thing itself, apart from particular non-essential qualities.
In other words, they have to come up with a complicated, non-Biblical, philosophical dogma to convince you …
… that the BREAD you’re eating isn’t really BREAD!
But that’s all MAN-MADE PHILOSOPHY & CHURCH TRADITION!
ALL OF ME is ME …
… including my BODY, MY SOUL, & MY SPIRIT …
My FLESH is as much a PART OF ME as MY SPIRIT & my SOUL.
There’s no good thing in my flesh & it has to die …
… but it’s still my FLESH …
… & it will be RESURRECTED whole.
But CATHOLICS are saying that only the ESSENCE of a thing is the REAL THING …
… & so if the PHYSICAL ATOMIC PROPERTIES of the BREAD doesn’t appear any different …
… that doesn’t matter, because the ESSENCE or “ACCIDENTS” …
… which is the REAL INVISIBLE SUBSTANCE of a THING …
… has CHANGED or TRANSUBSTANTIATED.
But can you show me any of that in the BIBLE?
This whole “ACCIDENTS” thing is obvious MAN-MADE PHILOSOPHICAL non-sense they had to come up with …
… IN RESPONSE to the OBVIOUS FACT …
… that the BREAD & WINE is ALLEGORICAL of CHRIST’S VERY REAL BODY & BLOOD …
… broken & shed for us on the CROSS.
& HERE’S the BIBLE PASSAGE that UTTERLY REFUTES TRANSUBSTANTIATION …
… because we can DEBATE PHILOSOPHY ALL DAY LONG …
… but what about the SIMPLE, CLEAR VERSES from the Bible …
… where we should be getting our doctrine from?
As CHRISTIANS, the BIBLE, the WORD OF GOD, is our FINAL AUTHORITY!
That’s not TRUE w/ the CATHOLIC CHURCH.
They’re AUTHORITY is rooted in what they consider “APOSTOLIC TRADITION” …
… Their AUTHORITY is in the ANTI-CHRIST POPE speaking what they consider to be “EX CATHEDRA”.
EX CATHEDRA refers to when the POPE speaks in an OFFICIAL CAPACITY as the VICAR –
… or REPLACEMENT – of CHRIST on EARTH.
When the POPE speaks EX-CATHEDRA his word is considered both INFALLIBLE & AUTHORATATIVE.
But as CHRISTIANS, OUR AUTHORITY is ROOTED in the BIBLE alone, not in men …
… yea, let God be true, but every man a liar …
& 1 Corinthians 11 is the KEY PASSAGE which REFUTES TRANSUBSTANTIATION.
& the reason for that is because the LORD’S SUPPER is instituted as a MEMORIAL —
… not a CONTINUATION — of what Christ did.
HIS ATONEMENT was offered ONCE & HIS WORK on the CROSS is FINISHED & COMPLETE.
1 Corinthians 11:23-26:
23 For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, That the Lord Jesus the same night in which he was betrayed took bread:
24 And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me.
25 After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.
26 For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord’s death till he come.
These are VERY TELLING WORDS from the MOUTH of JESUS.
When He instituted the LORD’S SUPPER, He said: THIS DO IN REMEMBRANCE of ME.
In other words, The LORD’S SUPPER is a MEMORIAL of something that has already taken place.
As NT CHRISTIANS, we are not re-crucifying CHRIST every time that we have COMMUNION.
We are LOOKING BACK to what has already taken place @ THE FOOT of the CROSS!
When the OT SAINTS observed the PASSOVER …
… they look FORWARD in anticipation to CHRIST …
… making atonement for their SOULS.
They were believing by FAITH in the REAL FUTURE CHRIST & not in a PHYSICAL LAMB!
So it all hinges on the MOMENT of CALVARY!
WE LOOK BACK in MEMORIAL, in REMEMBERING that JESUS DIED FOR US …
… that’s what we’re doing when we PARTAKE of the COMMUNION of the LORD’S SUPPER …
… we’re REMEMBERING CHRIST’S DEATH until He returns.
OT SAINTS looked FORWARD in anticipation of what HE WOULD DO for us …
& we look BACK IN TIME to what CHRIST ALREADY accomplished.
IT ALL LOOKS BACK to that SINGLE MOMENT on the CROSS of CALVARY.
That’s where the ATONEMENT TOOK PLACE.
& WITHOUT ATONEMENT – without shedding of BLOOD —
w/ out PROPITIATION for your SINS …
… there is NO SALVATION!
BUT TRANSUBSTANTIATION teaches …
… that CHRIST’S OFFERING is LITERALLY being RE-PRESENTED to the CHURCH!!
That’s their OWN TERM for it!
That’s what they call it: RE-PRESENTING CHRIST!
They believe that CHRIST’S OFFERING on the CROSS is being perpetually RE-REPRESENTED …
… for every present & future believer.
& so THE LOGICAL CONCLUSION of TRANSUBSTANTIATION is that CHRIST is FOREVER suffering on the CROSS …
… until His return.
That, along with that they want you to literally WORSHIP the BREAD & WINE …
… as JESUS HIMSELF is being RE-REPRESENTED during the Crucifixion …
… is why TRANSUBSTANTIATION is both BLASPHEMOUS & DAMNABLE!
1 Peter 3:18 says: “For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:”
Romans 6:9-10:
9 Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him.
10 For in that he died, he died unto sin once …
Hebrews 9:28: “So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.”
Look, it’s very simple:
Jesus is RIGHT NOW seated @ the RIGHT HAND of the FATHER.
He’s not PRESENT HERE on EARTH anymore …
… & He’s not POPPING IN & OUT every time an APOSTATE, HERETICAL CATHOLIC PRIEST …
… blesses a WAFER & “RE-REPRESENTS” CHRIST!
Jesus said in Luke 22:15-20:
15 And he said unto them, With desire I have desired to eat this passover with you before I suffer:
16 For I say unto y
ou, I will not any more eat thereof, until it be fulfilled in the kingdom of God.
17 And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and said, Take this, and divide it among yourselves:
18 For I say unto you, I will not drink of the fruit of the vine, until the kingdom of God shall come.
19 And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me.
20 Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you.
THE LORD’S SUPPER is a REMEMBRANCE …
… Not a REPLICATION, a REPETITION, or a RE-REPRESENTMENT of CHRIST’S ATONEMENT.
CHRIST SUFFERED ONCE FOR ALL …
COMMUNION, in its essence, is a proclamation & and a remembrance— not a REENACTMENT – of CHRIST’S DEATH.
It reminds us of what CHRIST did for us in a very real sense.
I don’t want you to get the IDEA that CHRIST is not PRESENT w/ us as we TAKE COMMUNION.
Jesus said in Matthew 18:20: “For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.”
But we serve a RISEN CHRIST …
… & it is the spirit of the RISEN CHRIST that is present with us …
… when we partake of the COMMUNION of the LORD’S BODY & BLOOD.
Paul said in 1 Corinthians 10:16-17:
16 The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ?
17 For we being many are one bread, and one body: for we are all partakers of that one bread.
So in a moment, we’re going to take COMMUNION together as a CHURCH.
I believe the BIBLE is CLEAR …
… that’s we’re supposed to take COMMUNION together as a CHURCH FAMILY …
… God instituted this CLEARLY in HIS WORD …
… & we’re to REFLECT on what CHRIST did for us on the CROSS.
A good of friend of mine, NAMED MERLE …
… phrased the IMPORTANCE of the ATONEMENT in a very effective way.
MY FRIEND, MERLE, understand that …
… as SINFUL MEN …
… we have been given a DEATH SENTENCE.
The BIBLE SAYS for the WAGES of SIN IS DEATH …
… as it’s talking about SPIRITUAL DEATH as well as PHYSICAL.
& so WE ALL MUST DIE!
& the FACT of our DEATH SENTENCE is itself a REFUTATION of WORKS-BASED GOSPELS.
Because if you’ve been handed a DEATH-SENTENCE by a JUDGE …
… it’s too late to PLEAD w/ HIM …
& to tell HIM that you’ll REFORM …
& that YOU’LL CHANGE …
… & that you’ll do GOOD WORKS & that you’ll do better!
IT’S TOO LATE!
THE SENTENCE has already been PASSED!
& so the ONLY SOLUTION is a SUBSTITUTE & a SAVIOR!
You cannot WORK YOUR WAY to HEAVEN …
… You CANNOT REFORM in order to be saved …
There MUST BE a SUBSTITUTE!
& that’s what we are REMEMBERING TODAY!
That CHRIST died IN OUR STEAD.
That’s why IT’S BY GRACE!
So let’s PRAY & we’ll partake of the LORD’S SUPPER together.
