“For the kingdom is the Lord’s: and he is the governor among the nations” – Psalm 22:28.
New Covenant Baptist (Spokane, WA) exerts our 1st Amendment right to practice our religion as we see fit without government intrusion or interference. This includes our freedom to speak freely as we choose on all matters—whether social, political, Biblical, personal or otherwise, without fear of reprisal.
We also exert our right to proclaim all Biblical truths, as we understand and interpret them according to the minister(s) of our local body and according to our deeply held religious convictions, including on matters of sexuality, gender, marriage and morality. We believe that gender is determined solely based on the settled science and biology of XX or XY chromosomes shortly after fertilization and that sodomy or “homosexuality” is an abomination to the Lord Jesus Christ. As such, we call individuals male or female or he or she based on birth-assigned gender, regardless of any present or future bylaws which state otherwise.
New Covenant Baptist and its members also exert our right to refuse vaccinations and/or flu shots of any kind, under religious exemptions and U.S. liberty, with or without the approval of the city, State, or federal government. If any branch of the U.S. government undermines or defies the core Constitutional laws of our nation and acts contrary to the foundational precepts of the U.S. Constitution or Bill of Rights, it is both our duty and our right as American citizens to resist all such laws and assert our God-given principles of liberty, afforded to us by the Creator at conception. As the Holy Scriptures also state, God’s law is higher than man’s law and is our basis and final authority on all matters: “Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men” (Acts 5:29).
We believe in a separation between church and the pharmaceutical industry as well as the legitimate, Godly separation between Church and State, which means that our church is on sovereign political and spiritual ground and that the State has no right to dictate, determine or legislate our religious beliefs or enforce their ungodly ways on us either mentally, bodily, spiritually or otherwise.
New Covenant Baptist further does not believe that Roe v. Wade is just, moral or legal under the Christian worldview and by determination of the Almighty God, since it is contrary to the Constitutional Rights of all living persons, including the pre-born. Established science also affirms the same and deems that life begins at the precise moment of conception. As such, we choose to ignore Roe v. Wade as a defunct and treacherous court ruling by imperfect and unjust men who have betrayed countless millions of unborn babies.
The Lord Jesus Christ be our Strength, our Rock and our Deliverer.
