“Dumb Dogs & Blind Shepherds”
Genesis 19:13-17, 24-26
Lot’s Wife: not much said about Lot’s wife.
But Luke 17:32: “Remember Lot’s wife.”
Longing towards Sodom, an emotional attachment to Sodom’s luxury, lifestyle, comforts.
It didn’t vex her soul to live in Sodom the way it vexed Lot.
2 Peter 2:6-8
6 And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned [them] with an overthrow, making [them] an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly;
7 And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked:
8 (For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed [his] righteous soul from day to day with [their] unlawful deeds;)
What does it mean to be vexed?
To “vex” means to be irritate, to frustrate, to make angry, to plague or torment, to harass, to afflict, to agitate.
When I see a sodomite I get vexed.
The closer we get to God and His Holy Spirit, the more we read the Bible, our threshold for tolerating the wicked decreases.
If YOU can tolerate sodomites, it’s because you don’t hate sin enough!
And there’s something wrong with you!
And you’ve turned into a sodomite sympathizer!
People will say you’re preaching the OT. No, there’s plenty of NT verses on this. Look at Romans 1:32:
“Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.”
This is a parallel to Leviticus 20:13:
“If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.”
Christians are getting sucked into this whole ‘Gay marriage’ debate. And they’re being deceived and their focus is off! That’s not even the real question.
The real question is why we even tolerate sodomites in society, in our churches, in our schools, in our governments, in our workplace, in our laws.
Now you might not be a sodomite, but if you support them, and defend them, you’ve become a sodomite sympathizer.
And by defending & befriending sodomites, you are putting yourself in a position to incur God’s wrath!
In 2 Chronicles 19:2 righteous King Jehoshaphat went out to battle to help the wicked King Ahab, and God sends the prophet Jehu to rebuke him.
The Bible says: “And Jehu the son of Hanani the seer went out to meet him, and said to king Jehoshaphat, Shouldest thou help the ungodly, and love them that hate the LORD? therefore is wrath upon thee from before the LORD.
King David said in Psalm 139: 21 Do not I hate them, O LORD, that hate thee? and am not I grieved with those that rise up against thee? 22 I hate them with perfect hatred: I count them mine enemies.
God called David “a man after mine own heart, which shall fulfill all my will”!
Romans 1:30 calls reprobates and sodomites: “Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents …”
And so I’m preaching this sermon to 2 groups of people today:
- Christians who are friends with or defend sodomites, instead of siding with the Bible & their Christian brothers & sisters who are taking a stand.
- The pastors and churches – and I’m talking about Bible believing churches – that are allowing sodomites, & fornicators, & child molesters into their congregation!
Look, I’m not trying to scatter believers away from their local congregations.
The Bible commands us not to forsake “the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.”
What is the “day approaching”? The second coming of Jesus Christ.
One pastor was asked this question recently: how close are we to the end times? To the return of Jesus Christ?
And I love his answer. Because it was so political.
He said: “We are closer today than we have ever been in times past.”
So I’m not saying to forsake the assembly, we need to be in good King James Bible, by faith only, soulwinning churches.
But the pastors who are letting in these vile creatures into the congregation, these dogs, is what the Bible calls them, these wolves in sheep’s clothing, have the great potential of destroying the church from within.
There’s a direct commandment from the Bible not to let sodomites into the church!
Turn to Deuteronomy 23:17-18
And I’m not talking about churches who are openly accepting of sodomites. Those are fake churches anyway.
What I’m talking about is the church & the pastor who thinks he’s letting sodomites into the church in hopes of saving them.
Deut 23:17-18:
17 There shall be no whore of the daughters of Israel, nor a sodomite of the sons of Israel.
18 Thou shalt not bring the hire of a whore, or the price of a dog, into the house of the LORD thy God for any vow: for even both these [are] abomination unto the LORD thy God.
(17) whore + sodomite (18) whore + price of a dog
Revelation 22:15
For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.
This is a picture of Deuteronomy 23.
Matthew 7:6: “Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.”
If this verse ever applies, it applies to reprobates & sodomites.
And in Isaiah 56, the Bible calls pastors who would let these defilers into the house of God, “DUMB DOGS” & “BLIND SHEPHERDS”.
This is speaking of watchman & shepherds who fail to warn their flock about real dangers.
Isaiah 56:10-11:
10 His watchmen [are] blind: they are all ignorant, they [are] all dumb dogs, they cannot bark; sleeping, lying down, loving to slumber.
11 Yea, [they are] greedy dogs [which] can never have enough, and they [are] shepherds [that] cannot understand: they all look to their own way, every one for his gain, from his quarter.
Contrast that w/ Ezekiel 3:17: “Son of man, I have made thee a watchman unto the house of Israel: therefore hear the word at my mouth, and give them warning from me.”
Pastors today are failing, because they’ve become watered-down and lukewarm. God says He’s going to spue them out of His mouth!
Speaking of “dumb dogs” & “blind shepherds”, this is a perfect Segway for … Pastor Rick Warren at Saddleback Church.
Rick Warren – I mean talk about a “dumb dog”.
Just last week Pastor Rick held hands w/ a flaming sodomite, Elton John, and joked about kissing him, saying that it would be the “kiss heard around the world”.
Talk about being vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked.
What kind of a pastor would joke about something like that?
Isn’t he disgusted just to be sitting next to Elton John, let alone holding his hand?

He also defended Mary worship by saying that Catholics don’t really worship Mary. They venerate her … and that protestants misunderstand. And he said the same thing about praying to the Saints.
Remember, this is the guy who inaugurated Barack Obama at the 2008 prayer breakfast.
Oh, and surprise Rick Warren is a member of the “Counsel on Foreign Relations”. This is a UN group with a NWO agenda.
And they’ve got Pastor Rick helping them organize their anti-Christ one-world-religion.
And it’s not just Rick Warren, it’s our whole society…
I just read a headline that said: “Girl scouts welcome cross-dressing boys into their ranks”.
“The girl scouts are adapting its policies to extend membership to boys who identify as girls.”
The American Family Association says that the Girl Scouts are “losing their moral compass.”
No, the Girl Scouts lost their moral compass a long time ago when they started teaching young girls about abortion and endorsing PP.
And they lie about it, but last year, The Girl Scouts of America supported Senator Wendy Davis, remember Abortion Barbie who filibustered for the right to kill babies?
So your Girl Scout Cookie purchases fund abortion!
Another area where sodomite sympathy abounds is in Modern Bible Versions
Romans 1:25 says that sodomites “changed the truth of God into a lie,” and that’s exactly what they’ve done in modern Bible versions.
EVERY USE OF THE WORD “REPROBATE” & “SODOMITE” is removed from the modern Bible translations!
In 1 Kings 22:46 the word “sodomite” from the KJV is changed to “male shrine prostitutes” in the NIV, NLT.
In the ESV it’s changed to: “male cult prostitutes”.
That’s just ammunition for atheists and trolls to say that it’s not sodomy that’s a sin but prostitution.
They do the same thing in 1 Kings 15:12 & 2 Kings 23:7.
*** They also change “sodomite” do the same thing in Deuteronomy 23:17 – the same verse about not letting sodomites into church. “Sodomite” is changed to “male shrine prostitutes”.
WHY?
Maybe it’s because TWO of the editors who translated the NIV were out and proud sodomites themselves? Did you know that?
One was Chairman of the Old Testament Committee of the NIV Committee on Bible Translation, Dr. Marten Woudstra.
The other was Virginia Mollenkott, who worked as the stylistic editor for the translation.
What is a stylistic editor?
Once the substantive editing is complete, a stylistic editor scrutinizes the work at the paragraph, sentence, and word level, clarifying meaning, reducing repetition, smoothing out sentences, eliminating unnecessary words, and so on.
In other words, the NIV has been smoothed over and polished by a known sodomite. She put the finishing touches on the final draft!
It’s digusting. The NIV is a sodomite perversion of the Bible.

The KJV Bible word “REPROBATE” is also removed from every modern Bible translation and changed to “depraved” or “debased” mind.
No wonder modern Christians fail to understand this issue no matter how much you explain it to them.
In their Bibles, the word “SODOMITE” & “REPROBATE” have been COMPLETELY removed from their Bibles!
The Bible says in Jude 1:7 that Sodom and Gomorrha were destroyed as an example for us, so that we wouldn’t make the same mistake.
7 Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.
But we’re just completely disregarding the Biblical example.
And today’s it’s always, the argument: “Oh … Well what about shellfish? Do you eat shellfish? Do you wears mixed fibers in your clothing?”
They make this argument because shellfish was an unclean food in the Old Testament Mosaic Law and that’s somehow supposed to be equal to committing the creaturely act of homosexuality.
But why is it so hard to understand that the ceremonial laws of the Levitical priesthood of Aaron were replaced by the Melchizidek perpetual priesthood of Jesus Christ!
Another straw man argument they like to use is: “Well, Jesus didn’t say a single word about homosexuality in the Bible.”
Aside from the fact that Paul the apostle made some very direct statements about the filth of sodomy, being an apostle appointed by Jesus Christ Himself, with full authority to write the Scriptures, and to lay the foundations and doctrines of the church, Jesus Christ DID also have much to say about homosexuality.
First of all, Jesus IS the WORD. He wrote the Bible. He is the Bible.
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
Second, Jesus said, in Mark 10:6, when the Pharisees questions Him about marriage and divorce, He answered:
“But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female. For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife;”
Notice all the contrast between MALE & FEMALE THERE, Man and Wife, father and mother.
Don’t tell me Jesus had nothing to say about it. He wrote the whole thing.
Who do you think showed up to Abraham in the Old Testament when the angels were there to destroy Sodom?
But you say that’s the OT? But listen, Jesus appeared in the OT.
There were pre-incarnate manifestations of Jesus Christ throughout much of the Bible.
Turn to Genesis 18.
This was when The Lord came with two of His angels to reveal to Abraham that He was going to destroy Sodom & and Gomorrah.
18:1-2 = pre-incarnate appearance of Jesus, 18:17, 20-23, bartering w/ the Lord – 32-33, 19:1
Exodus 33:20: “…Thou canst not see my face: for there shall no man see me, and live.”
2 Chronicles 17:1
The account of the Kings.
King ASA, a righteous king, had just died; and his son Jehoshaphat reigned in his place as king of Judah.
In a parallel passage in 1 Kings 15, the Bible says that King Asa threw all the sodomites out of the land and that this was “Right in the eyes of the Lord”.
1 Kings 15:11-12:
11 And Asa did [that which was] right in the eyes of the LORD, as [did] David his father.
12 And he took away the sodomites out of the land, and removed all the idols that his fathers had made.
So in 2 Chronicles 17 King Jehoshaphat, Asa’s son, has become King of the southern tribe of Judah. And he’s righteous like his fathers before him.
Meanwhile, the wicked King Ahab is reigning in the Northern Kingdom of Israel.
2 Chronicles 17:
1-5 / 10-13 = blessing, 14-19 = 1.16 million warriors
Chapter 18:1 (Ahab)
Ahab was the most wicked king of Israel to date.
1 Kings 16:30 says: “And Ahab the son of Omri did evil in the sight of the LORD above all that were before him.”
Chapter 18: Summary
They basically join forces & go to war, and the wicked Ahab dies in battle. Jehoshaphat himself barely escapes for his life as God rescues him out of the hand of the Syrians.
19:1-2
Though we be righteous like King Jehoshaphat, if we love them that hate the Lord, how can we expect God to bless us?
Reprobate Road vs. Romans Road
- Jeremiah 5:24
“Neither say they in their heart, Let us now fear the Lord our God, that giveth rain, both the former and the latter, in his season: he reserveth unto us the appointed weeks of the harvest.”
Romans 1:21: “Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful …”
- Jeremiah 6:10
“To whom shall I speak, and give warning, that they may hear? behold, their ear is uncircumcised, and they cannot hearken: behold, the word of the Lord is unto them a reproach; they have no delight in it.”
- In Jeremiah 6:15 their hearts had become hardened.
“Were they ashamed when they had committed abomination? nay, they were not at all ashamed, neither could they blush: therefore they shall fall among them that fall: at the time that I visit them they shall be cast down, saith the LORD.

“Hear, O earth: behold, I will bring evil upon this people, even the fruit of their thoughts, because they have not hearkened unto my words, nor to my law, but rejected it.”
The Bible says in Romans 1:21 again, that they “became vain in their imaginations
- Jeremiah 6:30
“Reprobate silver shall men call them, because the Lord hath rejected them.”
Romans 1:28 says that “God gave them over to a reprobate mind …”
- Jeremiah 7:16 the Bible says to reject reprobates, not to even pray or make intercession for them!
“Therefore pray not thou for this people, neither lift up cry nor prayer for them, neither make intercession to me: for I will not hear thee.”
- Jeremiah 7:24
“But they hearkened not, nor inclined their ear, but walked in the counsels and in the imagination of their evil heart, and went backward, and not forward.”
Romans 1:21 says their “foolish heart was darkened” &
Romans 1:24 says: “Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:”
- Jeremiah 7:29
“Cut off thine hair, O Jerusalem, and cast it away, and take up a lamentation on high places; for the Lord hath rejected and forsaken the generation of his wrath.”
